Education
Education
Iyashikei boasts all sorts of education, both traditional and nontraditional. Apprenticeships are also quite common be it in mechanics, sorcery, farming, and everything else in between. All the Council members agreed that education should be free. However, those who run the apprenticeships ARE allowed to deny taking on new trainees or end the apprenticeships as they see fit.
There are many elementary schools and high schools both in the Outer Rim and Main Hub, but only one university. Only one high school and one elementary school offer dormitories as does the main university The rest are all-day schools.

A place where you can both learn and teach. Yadah teaches... well, nearly everything you could want! It teaches classical university subjects like the sciences: basic advanced, and theoretical, the arts: classical and modern, dance, theater, mathematics, ethics, sports, business, debate, etc.
However, Yadah also teaches many more... unique subjects: alchemy, ethics of being a fairy godmother, wizardry, witchery, the ethics of time travel, combining magic and technology, and many other arcane or quirky subjects.
Yadah is situated on its own island and has several designated Rails from the Main Hub and the Outer Rim. It boasts the second largest library in all of Iyashikei, second only to the Great Athenaeum.
They are always happy to accept new teachers for new subjects. You may even catch a council member teaching a class!

Unlike Yadah, Minarai does not teach nearly as many topics. Minarai is a more traditional high school education, though there are several introductory courses to what is later taught in Yadah. Some can even be taken for college credit!
For students who are concerned about unique abilities going untrained, the Council is happy to let you attend Yadah to address those needs. As always new teachers are welcome to teach any new subject.
If students have special health needs, such as not being able to attend during the day, the good news is there are several night classes!
Just like Yadah, Minarai is on its own island though it does not take up the WHOLE island like Yadah University does. It also has a designated Rail stop. Minarai has several programs that encourage Minarai students to get involved in the community.

Much like Minarai, Minnow Elementary is a more traditional education for young students. The elementary emphasizes play, independence, and creating connections between students and the community, believing that providing children with guidance at a young age will help them grow into kind and considerate teens and adults.
It is not unheard of for little Minnows to go on all sorts of field trips and help out in the community that's appropriate for their age. To challenge strong minds or unique abilities, professors from the university come by to help at the school.
Minnow is the only elementary that offers dormitories.
